DWS Remote Control

DWS Remote Control is an open source remote access service that is available on Windows, Mac, Linux, Raspberry, etc. It does not require any installation and can be accessed from their website to immediately gain control of the remote PC.

Installation manual of the tool

Step 1: Download the installer from https://www.dwservice.net/en/ on the PC that requires a remote access from another.


Step 2: Once you run the installer, you may choose to either ‘Install’ or ‘Run’ it.

Choosing one of these will automatically agree to their license agreement. To keep it simple, we are choosing ‘Run’ in this tutorial. Then, you may click ‘Next’.


Step 3: Once the user credentials are generated, use that to login from the remote PC.


Exploration of the tool features

Transferring File from a Remote PC

Step 1: Select Files and Folders and select the disk available in the remote PC that you would like to transfer the files to.


Step 2: To upload or download file, select the up or down icons.

Step 3: Choose a folder to upload the file to. When uploading files, drag them from the local PC into the drag-and-drop area.


Step 4: The selected files will be uploaded and appear inside the selected folder.


Step 5: The remote PC can now access all the transferred files from the respective folder.

Controlling a Remote PC

Step 1: From a local PC, go to https://www.dwservice.net/en/loginsignup.html and enter the User and Password as shown in the DWAgent from the remote PC.


Step 2: The local PC can now access the features available to control the PC.


Step 3: To share the screen, select Screen from the menu. Make sure that the DWAgent is running in the remote PC while the process takes place. Closing the application will end the session automatically.


Note: The session time is limited. Only one PC can access the same remote PC at a time.
